Our Nicaraguan La Bastilla coffee is grown in a region called Jinotega which is considered by coffee experts to be the 'Top Dog' of the Nicaraguan coffee industry. This region of Nicaragua possesses volcanic soil along with a humid and tropical climate which allows the coffee to flourish. An estate located in the midst of a mountainous natural reserve, all cherries are handpicked according to the microclimates of each individual farm, to maximise their potential. The estate also houses a fully vertically integrated processing system, to allow for precise differentiation and sorting of each bean.
